Jet Blue not landing back at Stewart

Fresh York Jet Blue, a New York-based airline, has announced that it will not be making a comeback to New York Stewart International Airport, crushing any dreams of a return.

The airline announced today that it will not be starting service to Newburgh due to poor performance, and that it has been suspending service from the Hudson Valley airport since 2020.

One of the first cities Jet Blue served when it first started operating was Stewart. It was said that US Senator Charles Schumer was responsible for luring the airline, which offered flights to Florida locations.

Jet Blue has announced that certain routes would be discontinued and others will become seasonal. Nine routes from Los Angeles and five routes connecting to Fort Lauderdale, Florida were reportedly eliminated, according to the airline.

Currently, Stewart serves non-daily flights to Florida locations operated by Allegiant Air and Breeze Airways.
