GOSHEN: A woman was detained by state police and accused of grand theft, offering a fraudulent document for filing, and engaging in the unlawful practice of a profession.

Tara Muller, 41, of Milford, Pennsylvania, is accused by police of posing as a worker for a Hudson Valley legal practice in order to obtain retainer payments from prospective clients.

Muller is a seasoned legal assistant who has worked for a number of reputable businesses, including the Brady Law Firm in Goshen, Greenwald Law PC, and Meth Law in Chester, according to LinkedIn.
