In any case, the online sports betting site BetMichigan wanted to know which towns might have the most ghosts and be the scariest winners in the state. So, they used information from GhostsofAmerica.com and the number of recorded ghost sightings in each city across the state to figure out where people had the best chances of seeing something supernatural this Halloween.

Monroe was the scariest city in the state, with 49 recorded ghost sightings. Muskegon came in second with 44, and Bay City came in third with 43.

What the study says is that the Old Telegraph (Phantom) Bridge is what made the City of Monroe come in first. It was named the most haunted place in the Wolverine State because so many people died there in the 1920s and 1930s, according to the study.

With 32 ghost reports, Saginaw came in at No. 4 on the list of very scary places. Paris came in at No. 5 with 30, and Oscoda and Jackson tied for 28th place with 28.
