Most Surprising Thing About New Jersey's Favorite Christmas

Strangely, New Jersey chose that song as their favourite Christmas song. A lot of the time, because there are so many great singers from this state. It’s crazy that one of their Christmas songs wasn’t the top choice in New Jersey. “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town” by Bruce Springsteen was the song I was sure it would be. Really? That’s a great choice for New Jersey’s most loved Christmas song, right? That wasn’t true! I find it very strange.

Then I thought it had to be Frank Sinatra from New Jersey singing “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”It’s a really lovely song, but NOPE. That also wasn’t that. What about Bon Jovi? Again, the answer is no, even though “Please Come Home For Christmas” is a great choice.

Most Surprising Thing About New Jersey's Favorite Christmas

FinanceBuzz says it’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey. It has been out for almost 30 years now. I believe it’s a great song, but I’m shocked it was New Jersey’s top choice. That song makes you either love it or hate it. It turns out that the same poll also chose this song as the most annoying Christmas song. Do you know about New York and Pennsylvania? The poll shows that “All I Want for Christmas Is You” is the most popular song in those two states.

It turns out that most people in the Northeast and South chose that one.  “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” is the number-one song in the West. In the Midwest, “Run Rudolph Run,” “Jingle Bells,” “Deck the Halls,” and “A Holly Jolly Christmas” are all tied for first place.
