Hitchhiker wanted for North Carolina kidnapping

Cherokee County, North Carolina’s sheriff’s office, is warning people in Georgia about a guy who is missing and wanted on felony charges of kidnapping and robbery. According to police in North Carolina, Jordan Nathaniel Hedden was hitchhiking in their state with a woman named Stephanie Neace.

Detectives said a female neighbour picked up the two on November 30. They took over the car once they got inside, causing the resident to sit in the back seat while they drove, according to the police.

Officials say Hedden went to Tennessee and is thought to have broken into a house with a gun there. That’s when Hedden started hitchhiking to Georgia. Authorities in Georgia caught Neace, but Hedden is still on the run. His whereabouts are unknown, but he is thought to be armed and dangerous. Both Tennessee and North Carolina have issued arrest warrants for him.
