Registration Now Open for 2024 Florida Python Challenge, Announces Lt. Governor

The Florida Python Challenge 2024 registration is officially open, according to Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nuñez. The challenge, according to its organizers, is a humanitarian approach to end the pythons’ avoidance. Contest winners can earn over $25,000 in cash prizes, with a $10,000 grand prize up for grabs.

In order to compete for monetary awards, Florida Python Challenge Hunters will compete in military, professional, and novice categories to remove the most pythons.

“Thanks to Governor DeSantis’ unwavering dedication to Everglades restoration, Florida continues to make record investments in protecting the state’s unique natural resources for future generations, including the targeted removal of the invasive Burmese python,” Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nuñez stated. “I wish all participants a memorable and safe hunt, and I look forward to congratulating this year’s winners.”

Professionals and beginners alike are welcome to participate in this challenge, which takes place from August 9 to August 18.
