GOSHEN With the building closed in, work on the new Orange County Medical Examiner’s office, which started last summer, is still ongoing.
The $24 million facility, located on the grounds of the county’s emergency services center in Goshen, is expected to be completed by the end of the year, according to County Health Commissioner Dr. Alicia Pointer.
Despite the cold, they are still putting in a lot of effort and are making progress. The progress seems good to me. She declared, “It will be a cutting-edge facility that our staff and our Orange County residents and families deserve.”
The medical examiner currently works out of mobile offices at the 911 center.
The federal American Rescue Plan is providing the majority of the funds for the new structure.
