MONTGOMERY: A wheelchair-accessible dock and kayak launch have just been added to Benedict Farm Park in Montgomery, making it more accessible. Theron Adkins of the Town of Montgomery Recreation Department is spearheading a project that makes it simple for people with disabilities to get into and out of kayaks and canoes.

The new dock is outfitted with ramps, safety curbs, railings that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and an easy-to-use transfer bench.

Benedict Farm Park is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and can be found in Montgomery at 1675 Route 17K.
