PUCKHKEEPSIE A 25-year-old woman from Philadelphia, Mississippi, was apprehended as a fugitive from justice in relation to a homicide in her own state, and she is currently being held at the Dutchess County Jail.
On January 11, Stephanie Vance was apprehended without any problems after being spotted in Pleasant Valley by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.
Following an argument, Vance allegedly used a 9mm handgun to kill her live-in partner, 35-year-old Christopher Bland, on March 3, 3023, according to Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark.
They had shared a mobile home on Highway 16 West with a youngster who was eight months old. According to Clark, the infant was given up to child protective services.
Vance was detained without bond at first, but she eventually obtained a $100,000 bond through a bonding company.
While she awaits extradition back to Mississippi, she is being detained.
