Louisiana Named One of the Most Improved SAT Scores in US States

One thing that 11th and 12th schoolers do to get ready for college is take the SAT. The places where test scores went up the most from 2022 to 2023 were found by a study. Mr. Thomas Riley, a nootropics expert at Nootroedge, said, “People who are studying for the SAT should work on improving their focus and memory to make sure they are well prepared for the test.”

A news statement from JournoResearch says the study looked at the average SAT scores for 2022 and 2023 in every state in the US. Louisiana’s average SAT score went up by 23 points, which put it in the top five states with the best scores this year. It came in at No. 4 on the list. According to the study by Nootroedge, Louisiana was one of 11 states where SAT scores went up from 2022 to 2023.

As per Nootroedge, the average SAT score in Louisiana in 2022 was 1171. In 2023, it went up to 1194. It was said that North Dakota had the biggest gain, with a 6.19 percent rise. On the other hand, there was a big drop in Indiana (9.51%).

  • North Dakota: 1287
  • Nebraska: 1252
  • Arizona: 1183
  • Louisiana: 1194
  • Alabama: 1161
  • Iowa: 1208
  • Kansas: 1245
  • Utah: 1239
  • Vermont: 1099
  • Oklahoma: 953
