Latest Census Data Clears The Richest City of Missouri State

We have recently looked into and ranked the wealthiest towns in several southern states, such as Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. In each case, we found the wealthiest towns by giving each one a score based on a number of important financial factors. We’re going to look at Missouri this time, which is a state that lies between the South and the Midwest.

To find the richest places in Missouri, we looked at more than 1,000 cities across the state. Details about how we looked at and scored each city’s ranking are given below.

They gave us information from the 2022 American Community Survey, which we used to make this list of the wealthiest towns in Missouri. After that, we made a four-point scoring method to help us find Missouri’s wealthiest cities:

  • Median household income
  • Mean household income
  • Median home value
  • Median property taxes paid

When you think about Census numbers, keep these things in mind: For some things, its numbers go up to a certain point. On the other hand, the Census Bureau has a maximum of “$250,000+” for median family income. For a typical home value, “$2,000,000+” is the most that can be spent. Third, “$10,000+” is the most that can be spent on property taxes. This is why the mean or average family income dataset is so important: the Census Bureau has exact numbers for it. The places’ scores on all four of these factors were added up and then used to make a list.
