According to authorities, a 35-year-old woman died Thursday night shortly after being discovered with injuries consistent with a fall from a luxury Upper East Side high-rise.
According to the NYPD, the woman was located at approximately 6:45 p.m. outside The Brittany, an exclusive apartment building on the corner of York Avenue and East 92nd Street.
Her injuries were consistent with a fall from an “elevated surface,” according to authorities.
She was brought to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell in serious condition, but died from her injuries, according to authorities.
The Brittany, located just a few streets from Gracie Mansion, is a posh apartment building with “incredible, panoramic water views” of the East and Harlem rivers.
According to StreetEasy, a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit might cost roughly $7,500.
It’s unclear the floor of the 36-story skyscraper the woman fell from.
The woman’s suicide follows a series of suicides from the tops of luxury Manhattan towers.
In October, a 47-year-old man jumped to his death from the Gotham Hotel’s rooftop in Midtown.
In July, three elderly men committed themselves by jumping from different buildings throughout the city, one of whom jumped from the roof of a luxury Lower Manhattan high-rise.
