HUDSON CITY Due to allegations of abusing his ex-girlfriend, a 54-year-old man from City of Hudson is being held without bond in the Columbia County Jail on offenses including attempted murder, kidnapping, strangling, unlawful possession of a weapon, and criminal contempt.

Just before 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, the event was investigated by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Hudson Police.

The victim said that she was surprised by her ex-boyfriend Orlando Williams, for whom she had an active order of protection, while she was enjoying a cigarette on her back deck. threatened to kill her as he forcibly grabbed her, covered her mouth to stop her from shouting, and pulled her down a trail to a forested area behind the former JLE School. He made an effort to choke and knife her during the ordeal.

The victim’s boyfriend at the time made the 911 call and helped her escape. She was slightly hurt, yet she refused to get help.

Williams escaped before the police could come, but they found him the next day in Greene County, where they held him until they could move him to Columbia County.
