Guilty plea in Kingston murder case

Kingston In Ulster County Court on Friday, a Schenectady man entered a guilty plea to murder in relation to the shooting death of a Kingston man.

When Nyqwuan Monroe, 25, entered the plea, he was set for pretrial hearings.

Convicted felon Monroe had a loaded gun with him when he traveled to Kingston.

When Monroe and two other defendants went to Dominique Green’s house in Kingston, Monroe shot and killed him. After that, Monroe gave the gun to one of his accused, but it was subsequently found.

Monroe’s DNA was found in DNA evidence found in the rifle and a bullet inside.

Following the killing, the three men went back to Schenectady; however, Kingston City and State Police detained them the next day.

Monroe may spend up to 25 years or even life in prison if he is found guilty in March.
