Eight days after being released from jail for simple violence, a man was arrested again for allegedly raping a female who refused his request to “rekindle their relationship,” according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Jackson Mendoza was taken into custody and charged with false imprisonment, sexual battery, and violating his pre-trial release.
According to an arrest complaint, Mendoza reportedly sexually abused the woman on Wednesday after contacting her to perhaps “rekindle their relationship” after being released from jail on Oct. 17.
According to arrest documents, the 39-year-old’s connection with the child was not made apparent, nor was the victim’s age, despite being beyond the age of 12.
While she told Mendoza she didn’t want to renew their relationship, she did say she’d prefer to be “cordial with him and support him moving forward,” according to the affidavit. She has been visiting the man’s residence every day since his release to provide him with food and other household members because he has “no family or any support system,” according to the article. Mendoza had “full access” to her residence.
On Wednesday, Mendoza went to the woman’s house seized her, and shoved her against the wall. According to the police affidavit, he ignored her demands to stop, raped her, and ejaculated within her in a matter of seconds.
When the female attempted to leave the residence, Mendoza “hugged and held her,” according to the complaint. The girl “pushed him and yelled for him to leave her alone” before fleeing.
Mendoza rode his bike alongside the girl as she rode to work. She went to a Lake County Sheriff’s Office district office with her mother and reported the event after telling him again to leave her alone.
When deputies asked the girl if she had been intimate with Mendoza since his parole, she stated that they had consensual intercourse the day he was released.
“She instantly regretted the incident and informed Mendoza that this will never happen again and that this was due to her not being intimate for nearly two months,” according to the report.
According to the story, the girl said that there was “never” a time in their relationship when they had an event like the one that occurred on Wednesday. Deputies discovered Mendoza at his residence and arrested him. He was taken to the Lake County Jail, where he is being held on $60,000 bail.
