PUCKHKEEPSIE Camay Pryce, who was found guilty in February of vehicular manslaughter and driving while under the influence of drugs in relation to the death of US Navy veteran Erin Doc Clancy, is due to be sentenced in Dutchess County Court today. The 35-year-old Pryce crashed into Clancy’s automobile on Route 44 in Pleasant Valley after racing past other vehicles without stopping while under the influence of drugs.

Clancy was a well-known veteran who supported local veteran initiatives prior to his assassination at the hands of Pryce on September 7, 2022. Since authorities found and captured the murderer on April 6, 2023, she has been detained at the Dutchess County Jail.

Judge Jessica Segal of County Court could sentence her to a maximum of seven years in prison for the vehicular manslaughter charge and one year for the misdemeanor DWAI conviction. The hearing is scheduled for March 21, 2024. Pryce may also be subject to fines levied by the court.
