Congressman Ryan announces June schedule for C.A.R.E.S. van events

Washington, D.C. The June event schedule for Congressman Pat Ryan’s mobile office, the Constituent Advocacy Resources Empowerment Services (C.A.R.E.S.) Van, has been released. Staffed by highly skilled caseworkers from the Congressman’s team, The Van offers direct support to residents throughout NY-18, making sure they can obtain aid for anything from flood recovery in their neighborhood to help with passports and Social Security payments.

Congressman Ryan stated that everyone should have access to the help they require at their current location. With the C.A.R.E.S. Van, my crew goes above and above to get benefits for Hudson Valley families that they have earned by slicing through bureaucratic red tape. I hope you’ll attend one of June’s events if you need assistance with anything from Social Security to IRS forms, or if you just want to chat with my staff!

With regard to earned benefits, including Social Security and Veterans Affairs benefits, federal grant funding, passports and visas, immigration and naturalization services, and resolving issues with federal agencies like the Internal Revenue Service, Congressman Ryan’s C.A.R.E.S. Van helps constituents of NY-18.

In order to gather a coalition of community partners to provide flood recovery services during on-site events in areas affected by the devastating flooding that occurred in July of last year, Congressman Ryan deployed the C.A.R.E.S. Van.

Congressman Ryan has also partnered with other departments and groups, such the New York State Comptroller’s Office of Unclaimed Funds, for special events using the C.A.R.E.S. Van.

Increasing these services’ responsiveness and accessibility has been a top priority for Congressman Ryan. For the upcoming year, the C.A.R.E.S Van will make visits to all of the district’s municipalities to make sure that all of the constituents have direct and simple access to essential federal services.
