City of Poughkeepsie extends 2024 CDBG application

PUCKHKEPSIE The 2024 Community Development Block Grant application, which may be accessed on the municipal website, has been extended by the municipal of Poughkeepsie. A formula-based award sponsored by the federal government, the Community Development Block award (CDBG) is given to qualifying localities by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The award gives money to plan and build public amenities and municipal infrastructure in order to enhance the quality of life for locals. The city is able to implement a wide range of community development initiatives with this grant award, focusing on program administration, city infrastructure, neighborhood revitalization and demolition, housing rehabilitation, homelessness prevention, youth services, health services, economic development, and community facilities and services provision.

Before filling out the application, applicants should check the policies and procedures on the city website. For inquiries about eligibility, it is advised that all prospective candidates get in touch with the Division of Social Development.
