Best and worst Orange County Legislature attendance revealed

GOSHEN According to county records, only one of the Orange County Legislature’s 21 members maintained perfect attendance in 2023.

Republican chairwoman Katie Bonelli attended all of the meetings.

Republicans Kevin Hines, Barry Cheney, and Janet Sutherland had 98 percent attendance rates, and GOP Majority Leader Thomas Faggione attended 97 percent of the meetings.

Conversely, Democratic candidate Joel Sierra did not show up to any meetings, purportedly due to health issues. Of the meetings, Michael Anagnostakis attended 67% of them. He noted that following 13 years of high attendance, last year’s record was set.

  • Peter Tuohy, Republican, 94 percent
  • Leigh Benton, Republican, 92 percent
  • Joseph Minuta, Republican, 90 percent
  • Robert Sassi, Republican, 90 percent
  • Stephen Brescia, Republican, 89 percent
  • James O Donnell, Conservative, 85 percent
  • Genesis Ramos, Democrat, 84 percent
  • Glenn Ehlers, Republican, 83 percent
  • Laurie Tautel, Democrat, 79 percent
  • Kathy Stegenga, Republican, 76 percent
  • Michael Paduch, Democratic minority leader, 75 percent
  • Michael Amo, Independent, 71 percent
  • Kevindaryan Lujan, Democrat, 69 percent
